Cucina del Teatro was born at the foot of the steps of Via di San Simone, a place of historical interest where the Alcazar theater once stood: famous for the debut of the great actor Ettore Petrolini. The majestic entrance at the top of the steps is one of the most enchanting and representative views of Rome to witness the magic of this historical time. Photographers, painters and artists have contributed with their eye and their sensitivity to immortalize the particular atmosphere of this street.
In this unique atmosphere, the restaurant develops outside, along the wonderful glimpse of Via di S. Simone. During the winter, the outdoor area is covered and heated to ensure a pleasant stay.
Inside, the intimate and cozy room has a few tables for a quiet and peaceful environment, suitable for a romantic dinner or a relaxed lunch with friends.
As well as the essential “mise-en-place” which is well aligned with the genuine, refined and careful philosophy of Cucina del Teatro.
When I opened the restaurant in this unique corner, I constantly thought: “ How can I measure up with the beauty of this place?” I feel the weight of this responsibility and I strive everyday to reach a higher quality.
